MULTIWIR entrainment separator is used for effective vapor purification in sugar evaporators. It can be installed in the vapor chamber of a Robert or falling-flow evaporator, as well as in a separator located next to the evaporator. The main element of the MULTIWIR droplet separator is a ring-shaped structured packing, mounted on a conical bottom and covered with a conical cover. The packing is made of stainless steel slats and can be easily assembled inside an existing evaporator. The process of the droplet separation takes place between the packing slats thanks to the centrifugal force accompanying the rotational motion of the vapor jet streams inside the packing channels. The juice droplets are being thrown onto the packing slats and then flow towards the drain pipe.
